The Gang's All Here, page 2

This character (looks only) is loosely based on a guy I work with. He's got "beanie hair", and it is kind of fun to draw.

The Gang's All Here, page 1

I'm working with a new format for making comics. It starts out as a 6" x 6" drawing, then I add some for the title bar. I'm hoping this will work well for a variety of viewing methods (iPhones, web, and eventually, even printed paper.)

The tone is just crappy PhotoShop work. I have Manga Studio, but I haven't learned it yet. :meh:

Anyway, the adventure begins!
:happy2:

Bite

I'm experimenting with a new format (square) which might be able to move from web to 'zine. This was going to be just b/w, but then I decided to add the venal red.

Soccer Boys (coloring practice, version 2)

Same drawing, different colors. The boy in the background is too red, but I like the white lines on the field. All the hair is too red...

Tristan At Bat

Coach asked Tristan to get the team toughened up...

It's Spring and baseball season is here. I was never in Little League, but I have some fond nostalgia for seeing boys in baseball uniforms. This is supposed to look like one of those Little League photos parents get of their kid at bat.

This was a pencil drawing from a year or two ago I found in my sketch pile while looking for something else. It looked better than I remembered it, so I inked and colored it today. My goal was to make Tristan pop out, and then gradually you'd notice all the other details. The background got a bit muddy, but I think the rest works pretty well.

Tristan's actually a junior, so this isn't shota.

Yeah, those cleats gotta hurt...

Tristan's Chair (linework)

I'm inspired by the work of Kami Tora sensei. This is an homage to him.

(If you don't know Kami Tora's work, it is here

I forgot how much I like to ink with brush (or, in this case, brushpen marker).

SX "Goo" Hoody (colored)

I've been practicing my Copic markers coloring technique on this drawing. (I think this is my sixth stab at it.) I'm not usually good at practicing over and over on the same thing, but this has been a very good learning experience for me. I've finally got the hair shine how I want it.

I changed the splatter on the hoodie a bit to make it read better. (whiteout and PhotoShop). I also discovered that my scanner doesn't pick up the differences between the two shades of red I used (dark and medium), so there isn't much shading on the hoodie. The scanner picks up blue really well, so there is too much shading on his jeans (they are supposed to look faded/worn, not shiny). From now on, I'll try shading reds using a complimentary (green) color.

Boy Slut in Boxers (coloring practice)

A drawing from '07 that I finally got around to coloring. I'm getting more confidence with markers, especially for shade/highlight on skin tones and for hair.

Is the plaid on the boxers distracting?

Boy Sluts characters line up

Here are the main characters I'm working with. I'm going to come up with descriptions and bio info one each one, too. (year in school, favorite subject, special skills, etc). Truckee and Kyle are new, so I'm still working on them (they might change).

Driving Home - color study

I tried a new technique (for me). I colored the drawing just by tracing, and then when the color was done I went in and drew in the black lines. I think overall the drawing got muddy - I think I need to try a simpler palette, but its a nice first attempt. Foot lovers may appreciate that those are probably the two best feet I've ever drawn.

Hot Story (from real life)

I joined FetLife recently. It is an online kinky sex community. (it is 80% straight, but there are still some cute guys on it). One of the hot ones posted this. I really want to turn it into a story, but I'm not sure how. It is one of the shortest hot stories I've ever read. (yeah, for him it isn't a story - or is it? - but it is written like one... its so emo... )

I'll preserve his anonimity by not giving his name (we'll call him Bill)

>>
Since puberty I've had fantasies about men but had been able to force them out of my head. In the last year though the fantasies of men (Dominating me, demeaning me, fucking me, making me suck their cocks) have been getting worse and more frequent, to the point where I can no longer have a sexual relationship with women.

Some of the time I want to indulge in these desires, but most times I continue to fight it. I'm looking for someone who can convince me to explore these desires, and if it comes to it, teach me how to give in to them.

He seems perfect for the Boy Sluts, don't you think?
:sweatdrop:
I'm sure Tristan could take care of his needs. Hell, yesterday's drawing (Master and Jock) could pretty well be the illustration for it.

Master Tristan and Jock

This is probably one of my favorite drawings (I did the line art in 2007). I really like the way Tristan's hair and ass turned out. (erm, I guess its the jock that Tristan is "turning out"...). Anyway, I finally colored it and added a caption.

Driving Home

this began as simple porn, but i wanted a "story" and not just two boys fucking, so I added the car (which made a better story but less porn). its sort of inspired by the long (boring) drives to Tahoe when I go snowboarding. three hours of boyfucking in the backseat would really make that drive more interesting.

mostly i drew this just to draw something, with the idea that i'll color it tomorrow (or soon) so I treated the inking a little differently.

Oh, and its also a bit inspired by somebody who wrote a Boy Sluts story recently where the parents were cool with the boys having sex. Dad is just driving home. Maybe he'll stuff something into the third boy's mouth to shut him up...

coloring practice

I haven't been sure if I should limit my posts here to strictly Boy Sluts or not. Probably nobody but me cares... at least I'm trying to post something every day.
Today I spent a bunch of time sorting my (Copic brand) markers. I had a lot more than I thought I did. (They cost almost $5 each... and I had more than fifty...) I've been trying to get better at coloring, and I think my practice is paying off.

Pastels

'Way from March, 2003. Sort of a nice color study, with flat pastels (CG color). I guess I should change the url at the bottom... oh well...

About the Boy Sluts (backstory)

Somebody at y!Gallery was interested in writing a Boy Sluts story, and he asked me some background questions about the Boy Sluts universe. I've never really sat down and written out the guidelines for the BSA (Boy Sluts of America), so it was fun to give it a few minutes and come up with answers. I thought it might be good to document it here, for others who might want to write a story or create a drawing. I'll paraphrase his questions:

Q. How old are the Boy Sluts?
SX: To avoid legal issues, I always just say the boys are "teenagers in school". I leave it to the viewer's imagination to decide if they are in junior high, high school, or college. Recently I've started using "St. X_ Academy", which could be any of those. My imagination probably puts them in 8th grade, but sometimes I have the "Seniors vs the Juniors" or somebody is "a freshman", so its ambiguous.
Answer: feel free to use whatever age you want with your own character names. If you use one of my characters (Rubin, Bobby, Truckee, Tristan or Kyle) then just don't refer to his actual age. You can write "the boy" or "the lad" or other generic modifiers.

Q: Is the Boy Sluts a secretive organization or public?
SX: The Boy Sluts are not secretive. They are exactly like the Boy Scouts, but they are gay-positive. The first published BSA story (Shonen, vol. 1) has them manning a first aid station at the county fair. They fund-raise, they recruit, they hold events. They have uniforms so they can be identified by the public. I imagine that the public sees them just like the Boy Scouts but without the history of discrimination, lies, double-standards and homophobia that tarnishes the Boy Scouts. I guess that makes them more like the Girl Scouts.

Q: How would a boy's parents feel about his participation?
SX: Parents haven't played a part in the Boy Sluts, yet. One character (Ruben) has a gay dad. (Well, he does in my character notes, so I'm now outing his dad publicly!) I think you could write it either way. Some parents might object to their child joining the Boy Scouts, too ("no son of mine is joining a para-military psuedo fascist organization!")

Q: Are there any restrictions on the kind of sex/kink in a Boy Sluts story?
SX: I don't think there are many kinks that wouldn't fit into the Boy Sluts universe. In general, I try to make the BSA sex-positive. The only non-consensual drawings I've done are with a smaller boy (Tristan) dominating older and bigger boys, and even then there is some tacit understanding that they are following his orders willingly (since he's smaller and physically weaker). The Boy Sluts certainly encourage boys to explore their sexuality and award badges for different activities. I probably shy away from any lasting damage (I'm not sure how I'd wrap my mind around castration). If I were doing a vore scene the boys would be going into and coming out of the animal (Jonah, swallowed by a whale, reguritated, and then saying "Coool! can we do that again?!").

My own drawings have had bondage, flogging, CBT, diapers, group sex, glory holes (anonymous sex), vanilla sex, drugs (pot and MDMA), furries (ie, Cub Sluts), age difference, prostitution (fundraisers), xdressing, piercings, sub/dom, watersports, bukake, food play, and probably a few things I'm forgetting.

So, in general, any kink is fine if you can put an up-beat spin on it. The boys should learn some positive lesson, learn a new skill ("today we're going to learn cock piercing, ... who wants to volunteer?") or triumph or evil.

If you want to do something dark and demeaning, with a fucked up outcome you might as well just use Boy Scouts, since that universe also exists.

Sharing (color study)

Its fun going through my old stuff. This one I did trying to use non-realistic colors more for mood. The "flat" color worked pretty well. (maybe I should do more of that... shaded color is really hard for me.)

Peeping Tom, or maybe Tim

I hope to have some new work soon. Until then, here's another from the 2004 archives.
