Big Brother - p. 16

Text heavy... but it has an interesting 1960s poster feel maybe.

Its a trap! (giggle) I've been waiting for a year to use that.
Show of hands for anybody who was surprised?

Big Brother - p. 13

Originally, I thought this would be the halfway point of the story. Now that I've finished writing the second half, it turns out that we're only a third of the way through.
Love! Spunk! Glamour!

underwear = win
Mr Bear = win
Hair shine = fail
at least the hands and the bedcovers look ok.

Big Brother - p. 10

A little ass to keep the story going along...

big Brother - p. 9

MMM... I love a boy in a uniform.
I'm messing around with the Blogger formatting, to make this easier to view on iPhones and other mobile devices. Let me know if you like the changes, or not.

Hands = fail
but i think you can tell what's going on at least.
(I'm trying to accept that not every drawing will be perfect... or even good.)

Big Brother - p. 7

And (finally) we're back to the sexytime.

Big Brother - p. 6

OOH - moody lighting. (I hope this isn't too confusing a shift from the soccer playing in the previous frame.) I'm starting to get the hang of how to draw Brookie's hair at least.

big Brother - p. 5

I'm trying out a slightly different pen style (brushpen) here, and I used speedlines for the first time. I like the ones on shoulder, but I think I messed up the ones on the ball.

I used a photo reference to get the pose right (well, actually from three different ones, one for each player). Devin's action was hard for me to draw because he's about to kick the ball with his back (his right) foot. That's why his body is twisting.

The god of soccer comics (manga) Higuchi Diasuke, and his 24-volume series
Whistle
. Man can he draw!

If you have any tips for how I can draw his hair better, please tell me!

big Brother - p. 3

This morning I wrote out the name (Japanese word for "comics storyboard"). I was worried about getting myself pencilled into a corner, so I'm glad I did it. It was easier than I thought it would be. It was also interesting to write something in first person, and from the uke's perspective. It has some twists and turns, so I hope people will be pleasantly surprised.

Oh, and speaking of name... I picked a name for the big brother.

Do boy's rooms still look like this?

Big Brother - p. 2

I wish I knew where the story was going. I'm all open to ideas at this stage. (All I know is where it should end up...) Yeah, I should really sit down and write this out before I draw myself into a corner.

I think the perspective on these stairs went all MC Escher on me...

Big Brother - panel 1

I'm starting a new comic today. (It is based on a request I got from a cute boy who sent me some photos.) This be a short one, similar to my last one, I think. I haven't even written the story for it yet (I just have some vague ideas), but I wanted to get something going. Sometimes it helps me to get a drawing down, and that will then kickstart the rest of the thinking.

the Gang's All Here- 10 seconds later

Finally, the followup panel. (There may be another one, later.)
The "10 Seconds Later" idea is something I got from the Genshiken manga series. (Genshiken is one of my favorite comics and anime series ^.^ )

meh... pint glass

I'm trying to post something every day. Not all days are successful. This one I worked on, overworked on, worked on some more, and ended up here. I really like how the pint glass turned out. It was a good challenge for me to try doing an older guy, too.

Monday, April 12, 2010

Hey Coach!

Sort of a warm-up piccie done for a cute boy who sent me some photos of his panty collection (and him wearing them)

Is the word balloon too wordy?

Four in a Pool -- too crude for Y!Gallery!!

I'm "resting" after my Boy Sluts comic (actually, I'm writing the next one), so I'll be posting old sketchbook stuff for a while. I really like the binder rings "frame". I like to see the whole page in a sketchbook page. I can't post this on Y!Gallery because they think binder rings and page edges look too "crude".

Sex Face Meme

the grid and the captions has been floating around the interweb for a while. I finally found the blank, and filled it in for Truckee. Its a fun drawing exercise.

the Gang's All Here, page 14

final page of this story (but there maybe be one of two "after pages"). my style shifted slightly in this last panel.

Friday, April 9, 2010

The Gang's All Here, page 13

It may seem odd, but I have a tough time drawing cock. This one actually turned out pretty nice. One more page to go after this.

more cute ass (fanservice)
i kinda messed up the new boy's hair, but it looks better in the next panel.

the Gang's All Here, page 10

It's chibis! It's a punchline! I told you it was a gag comic. EEEEEEEK!

the Gang's All Here, page 9

Making you wait for it.

Am I stringing it out too long?

chirp chirp?

The Gang's All Here, page 8

I fussed over this drawing, and I'm still not happy. The hand looks OK, but I just can't draw cock the way some artists can. Oh well, at least you can tell what it is.

oh, and no shading in this one -- just lines!

The Gang's All Here, page 4

Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown.
--Henry IV, Pt 2, Act III (Wm. Shakespeare)

I drew this one twice. I still don't think I got his hair right. Oh well, the story marches on. I was getting tired of just tone, so I threw in some juicy solid black. mmm.
