Just a quickie short comic to finish up 2010. This story features Devin (from "My Big Brother") and Ruben (from "First Aid").

Neko-Truckee

It was meant to just be cute... I thought "I'll draw Truckee as a cute kitty-boy." Then it all went strangely wrong and twisted.

Truckee has pink hair

Yeah, I didn't know it until I started coloring this. I started out trying to draw him (and some other boy, who I haven't named yet, really) in a Digimon/Pokemon sort of style. (But I gave Truckee a bit of a goatee. They aren't supposed to be 8 years old... just drawn in that style.) Then, I wanted to color it in a sort of flat anime-style.

I'm having fun playing with typography. Usually my work doesn't allow me to use lots of wacky fonts. I still have coloring to do on the image, and I'm still playing with the title type (different fonts for "True" and "Adventures). I'm hoping the image isn't too "busy". At least its starting to look like a comic book.
